I went to an engineering school and the dorms themselves were somewhat intentionally segregated (people were often roomed with someone from the same race and culture).
Most of the Asians on campus were international students. They mainly kept to themselves (like ppl from the same country stuck together) with the exception of Indian international students who socialized with everyone.
Aside from the obvious , international students are subject to a lot more rules and can't afford to be caught with weed or anything.
I made friends with some international students but wish I'd done it more because it's so interesting to learn about other places.
A lot of them esp from China were very rich lol. Some even abandoned their sports cars on campus after they graduate
