Who has made a three-track run as good as that since 2015 in his class like fr, the variety of sounds and instrumentation going on just within that three-track stretch is bonkers I literally noticed new background vocal effects on Nightcrawler today and I've been listening to this album since winter 2015

Birds I remember perfectly too, but I remember finishing it and feeling slightly underwhelmed (I think mainly because that project closed out with a track we had already been bumping for a while)

i remember all 3 so vividly. i remember checking ktt every morning a couple days before rodeo leaked and then jumping out of bed when i saw that it did. that first leak was just so hearing oh my dis side for the first time the beat switch

birds was also super iconic. remember the friday that it came out i had a double geography class and between classes i told my mate that he was dropping birds tonight had to stay up until 3 am to listen to it though because he was premiering it on dot wav. also, remember when everyone thought NAV was bieber

astro first listen was crazy too just based off how enjoyable it was being on ktt while listening. sicko mode first listen astrothunder

Remember listening to Birds on my couch junior year of college while pregaming then going to a party and taking over the music and playing it all night and everyone loving it.

He really found that middle ground between high level production value and accessible content for the masses. Appreciate him for turning his releases into an entire experience instead of throwing content out there. He brings out all the theatrics. Videos, features, sounds, promo, etc.

So it's unfair to ever judge him for anything other than his albums

And so far, he has yet to miss on a solo album

Yeah I had a similar experience with Birds like that

As I said earlier, Birds left me a bit underwhelmed on first-listen, I liked it and was bumping it but I just accepted that it was a stepdown from Rodeo, but I mean I loved Trav so much at the time I just appreciated new music

But maybe the first or second weekend after it had come out, I was at pre-drinks for a college party and people put it on and were jamming to it

I think it was then that I realised he had purposefully dumbed the music down a bit to make it more accessible

As elitist as it sounds, I saw a whole new casual wave jump on to him as an artist with Birds, was a smart career-move for sure

The knife snippet really got me excited for this album I feel like he’s gonna assert his dominance with this one

Really hope that track see's the light of day, from the snippet his rapping on that legit sounded like how he did on Owl Pharaoh

Sounds too detailed to not be on the album, between that and vision I’m very excited

I was a Senior in high school when Birds dropped, fw it heavy because I had been anticipating it, s*** was great for pre-games, going out etc. Agree though musically doesn't touch Rodeo.
