Not gonna lie never heard a usher song besides that dynamite s***
he dropped i don't mind and they were back on his d***. if he dropped an album to follow that up with the same style of production and content they would've ate it up too.
that was 7 years ago and I'd still argue that the R&B community while accepting of the song still largely were focused on other artists at the time.
he's released music since, including that 2016 album with the features from Thug & Future, it was still overshadowed though.
ok this has convinced me that usher really did steal the vibe of Climax from the weeknd
T Pain is so lovable man, I feel like people are finally starting to respect him

usher peak years were behind him and when you get up in age like that people stop paying attention . dude took too long to return to form . i blame it more on the timing and ageism than anything else
Niggas in here was 6 years old when the i am T-pain App dropped that nostalgia got them disrespecting ushers music

honestly the people starting to respect him a little too much lately

you on TTT2 now buddy
i don't agree with this. confessions was already one of the biggest albums ever. How much more of a demographic do you need?
He didn't have to make that hard turn into pop after Confessions to increase his demographic, he was already the biggest artist in the world with that one. Something in line with My Way, 8701, or Confessions would've still done well. Instead he came back with Love In This Club
i hate that late 2000s electropop sound so much though
Son listening to Confessions and then going to s*** like "DJ Got us Falling In Love " was such a hard swerve man omg lmao
F*** them kids
Pulling the influence card, well yeah more people can do autotune than replicate Usher’s vocal ability and dancing skills

And that "influence" card is debatable too cuz the way these new niggas use autotune sounds closer to Wayne / Future or something than T-Pain.
It's not even like they're singing like how Pain was they're just rapping with a melody kinda
Usher made that EDM auto tune s*** tho when the streets needed R&B
Because all you casuals just ignored the R&B cuts on his album and only listen to radio signals which proved his point you f***ing idiot

future had a bigger autotune impact/influence than t-pain.

you know what bugs me about confessions?
what everyone nowadays knows as confessions, is not what it was to me
like i had the original cd, with the confessions intro followed by pt 2. middle school crush bought it for me.
spotify just has the expanded edition only with confessions inserted where the interlude was and adding all the bonus songs the deluxe version came out with.
spun that cd so many times but streaming doesn't offer that same experience anymore. interlude's not there.

1) I heard the R&B album cuts.
2a) Why would the average listener take their time to go see if the rest of the album had R&B when they already don't like the singles he released prior to it. Especially in the era where Drake and his brand of R&B was steady on the rise and seemed fresh in comparison. Which leads me to..
2b) The 2010s music listener was spoiled with music.. with so many choices to the point where they didn't always have time to do further inspection
3) Suck my d***, jump in front of a car and try to slow it down you f***ing bozo

Yeah you def didn't listen
He released Climax which ethered the game,
Usher literally made a new sound and did not get the credit for it, his album Looking for Myself is better than any R&B released by Drake stfu
3rd you are YT
