Ended up not being able to watch that Tommaso copy you sent me, i couldnt deal with the weird letterboxing ratio on it
But im sure it'll be out on digital soon, maybe even blu too considering how nearly all of his work from the 2010s have recently gotten blu releases
Thanks nonetheless tho fam!
ah sorry to hear about that but yah im sure its getting a digital release sometime in the upcoming months, a blu release would be a instant buy
wait until you see that ENDING

The JoJo Rabbit disrespect in here is disgusting. Top 3 this year tbh
Was better than most comedies in the last few years.

Parasite
The Lighthouse
Monos
Knives Out
Uncut Gems

I can see this. The 2nd act slightly dragged

It's definitely not getting the credit it deserves though, that's for sure. First half had me howling
1) Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
2) Uncut Gems
3) The Lighthouse
4) John Wick 3
5) Joker
6) Knives Out
7) Parasite
8) The Irishman
9) Rocketman
10) 1917
I got mixed feelings on Parasite. It’s grown on me since first watching it but I still think the storyline in the 3rd act was weak.
Edit: Rewatched Parasite, it grew on me a lot. Bumped it up.
here we are boyz, the best of this past stupid year
haven't seen Mister America, Richard Jewell & A Hidden Life yet so they could land on here once i see it
HM: High life, High flying bird, Dolemite is my name, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood & Once upon a time in Hollywood
Top 5:
1) Parasite
2) Uncut Gems
3) Climax
4) Little Women
5) Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood
Also props to ANIMA, Guava Island, and I Am Easy To Find for some pretty great musical short films.
marriage story is so pretentious bro i cant stress this enough
USA boys exclusive type movie
Great year for movies. I haven't seen Portrait, Ford v Ferrari, Last Black Man, 1917, or the Farewell.
1. Parasite (so good I jumped into Bong's filmography)
2. Marriage Story (the director calls it a "love story of two people who dont love each other anymore")
3. Uncut Gems (Safdies are real deal. Good Time was a personal favourite. Sandman went off)
4. Jojo Rabbit (Wholesome and heartfelt. I had a good audience with good humor, great experience. At times felt like Moonrise Kindgom)
5. Knives Outs (just a fun movie, not to be a***yzed but enjoyed)
6. The Lighthouse (I left the theater bewildered by this movie. The images stayed with me for weeks after. I've settled on how I perceive it but I feel it will change after multiple viewings)
7. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (not QT's strongest film but the cast, production design, and classic OT style over substance)
8. Joker (good movie, Phoenix is strong as usual. I feel Joker is being buried based off of its mainstream success)
9. Midsommar (hard not to compare the quality against Hereditary but Midsommar is cinematic and eerie)
10. Booksmart (where did this comedy come from? Haven't enjoyed a comedy with this heart since Superbad)
Hon. Mention: the Irishman, Peanut Butter Falcon, Us
