Fun fact: during filming of The Many Saints of Newark, David Chase asked Sirico if he could record himself doing a particular Paulie line from the script for the actor playing his younger self could use it as a reference.

Sirico apparently went ahead and recorded himself saying every single Paulie line in the script and sent those over.

F*** man

I ripped hella mannerisms and small gestures from Paulie and by extension Tony Sirico. All the ‘heh,’ ‘whoa,’ ‘god forbid,’ hand horns , straight palm in dismissal is all him. People around me know me for them now but I’ll never forget where I saw it first. Rest In Peace to one of my favorites ever
