By societal standards, it should be as ostracized as smoking is. Attacking or shaming a specific person for being fat? No. Praising an individual for being fat? Hell no.

    Is smoking ostracized?

    Same

Something I always felt I could relate with to Ye was that I can’t articulate myself well when speaking and can do it better through writing or other mediums

I remember feeling frustrated whenever people would lose their s*** at Ye when he’d speak because they’d get so angry at whatever he’d say in plain English and I’d think “did u even think about what he said a second further before letting your outrage take over?”

But now it’s like he acknowledges that his messaging is flawed and can easily take away from whatever point he thinks he’s making, but does nothing to improve. And now he’s even being that way on purpose

It’s the same problem I’d have with the “I hate men”, “eat rich ppl” niggas that just say extreme s*** who are fully aware that the point isn’t getting thru to people because of the stupid ass message they used to convey it. Yet they continue to say it. It reveals that they don’t actually care about spreading their message and more about the attention that comes with it

    Great points, I agree.
It’s neither here nor there, but related to your point about people saying s*** like “I hate men” as someone who knows and has seen people fall into the Andrew Tate mindset, I know for a fact that posts like “I hate men” contributed to them going off the preverbal deep end.
They get like “If you gonna hate me like that anyway, I might as well be an ‘alpha’”

    Fat is unhealthy

Being helpful in helping people endeavors dealing with unhealthy things is best

Idk why that’s a crazy thing to think

All I said was that shaming people doesn’t work as opposed to like trying to positively help someone and uplift them

Why are words being put in my mouth

Communication and caring, yes. Always. And obviously your dad came from an empathetic place and told you what you needed to hear

But outright, hateful fat shaming (especially from family members) can often just result in eating disorders and compounding life long issues with food

    How would that work tho
Like making a city a no smoking zone is easy
How do you make a no fat zone

    ????

Better health education, more public health funding geared towards awareness of healthy eating, more publicly funded gyms, banning of deadly toxins in our food supply I.e. high fructose corn syrup
