ended my shift w a 8 mile drive for a $3 order(no tip) just bc the restaurant was literally right in front of me and his house was half a mile from my apartment

thought about saying “thanks for the tip” when i handed it off but he seemed nice(for a cheapass)

gonna make stacks on the shift tonight tho

my acceptance rate hovering right around 50% bc i have to reject every mcdonald’s order they don’t open their lobby and the drive thru line is always at least 10 cars long(last night it circled around the restaurant twice lmao)

alright guys i’ve been working pretty consistent the past week and here’s what i’ve found:

    1. 6p-2a is the best time to work. you get orders for lunch and early dinner but with the traffic slowing you down the s*** makes it so slow

    2. f*** anything under $5, always(unless it takes like 5 minutes to complete the order). if the crib is more than a 10 minute drive away from the order it’s gotta be at least $7

    3. find a place that people keep putting in orders from and just head back there after each order. if you get a new one before you get back that’s worth it, take it. if not, camping out in front gets you the orders pretty quick

    4. f*** mcdonald’s

All this, plus find malls or nearby restaurants that are likely to stack. right next to my apt there’s an outback and a red lobster that stack all the time with $7-13 orders, and a Cheesecake Factory in a mall that stacks with a bunch of other places.

i’m in a college town so i get something even better than that, most of the restaurants are clumped together and like half the orders past 6pm are in dorms a mile from the biggest clump bc freshman w no cars(our schools big enough we only put first-years in dorms lol)

gotta shout you out btw. your thread bigging up doordash like a month ago is what made me join you ain’t even gotta ask to be added to op lol

also how you get hooked up with a catering gig? like through doordash?

Look up DoorDash drive catering on YouTube, it explains it. You gotta do a lot of driving, do really good numbers, and just wait for a while. Once you get invited they give you a bigger bag, and you can schedule orders closer to $30 I think.

Wait wait have y’all done red card orders? I noticed they regularly overestimate how much the order will cost so it’s easy to throw a little somethin extra in there for myself.

Is there any way they’d be able to track that?
