for a student i make pretty decent money doing this. i live in an affluent area and a college town so it’s quite busy and ppl tip well. average like $30/hr. Usually do 4:30-8:30 and walk away with a little over $500 only workin 15-20hrs a week. i don’t even do it on weekends really
i love driving around listening to music and podcasts. it’s barely work. got $21 for a walmart delivery and got $28 for a single chinese food delivery
the key is to ignore dashes that bring you too far outside the commercial areas for too little money

i'm at a state college(bama) and i'm hella lit for class to be back, those promos are wild. there's basically promos going on 24/7 friday-sunday
can't do it on game day though bc this city literally shuts down over football

Thinking about heading near a college area when school starts back up to see what the market is like.
even with the $2.50 base pay i’m noticing a lot of orders still end up being $x.00 pay because the people are tipping however many dollars and 50 cents
they weren’t tipping like that before, at least not this often. i have a theory but dd gonna send shooters if i spell it out

I’ve heard dd started recommending tips based on mileage. Since then I’ve noticed the average went down a little bit. It changed at the same time they started hiding more of the tips, so it was hard to tell what was going on

my bro would drive 45 mins every weekend to the more affluent part of my state just because the tips were more consistent and higher. he was making like 300$ a night where we live in 8 hours, but in the affluent part, he was pulling 500-700$ on a friday or saturday.

Like there is a rich community right outside a large shopping center with taco bell, mcdonalds, bww, basically everything.
From store to house max is 10 mins. I havent talked to him about it in months, this was like prime pandemic.
Hit a really bad spot financially. Gonna start doing this on my mother’s account. I’m willing to go to the urban area near me (Raleigh NC). Any tips for a beginner?

saturday and sunday is usually the best orders, 11am-7pm is about the range for steady solid orders
doesn’t mean you’ll have a great first shift though. it’s hit or miss but better then
probably gonna hit like $120 off ~5 hours with lunch and dinner combined
not bad for a saturday when the town’s dead
wendy’s #1 opp i’ve been in here waiting 15 minutes while people come in after me, order, and get it made before i get the s*** they’re supposed to already had made

Why you accepting a Wendy's order anyway, lol?
Ubereats update is terrible. Gives you around 5 seconds to accept your order and they no longer show the second order in stacked orders.
They are trying to hide those Chipotle and Wendy's orders in that b****, smh. These apps get worse and worse.

it was barely 11am and like a $5 tip, i've been f***ed over literally every order at this specific wendy's but figured it'd be different since it was early
i ended up getting an add-on order there for about the same tip, so even though it took like 30 minutes when it was only a 3-mile drive, probably worth it considering how s***ty it was out there today
least i cleared $100

I don't even take the chance anymore, lol. IHOP, Denny's, Wendy's, Chipotle, Moe's, and Boston Market get declined with the quickness.
ima make those polos even redder i stg
definitely stop dashing once the murder thoughts creep in. If there’s ever a time to take advantage of doordash’s flexibility, it’s when the homicidal ideations begin.
Stayed at home. Left my app on from 10:30AM to 10:30 PM.
Made $190, but I needed $220 but itll be straight, I’ll just pay my bills tomorrow
