The most liked and engaged with threads on this site are gossip and toxicity and site drama. That’s the nature of what happens when you let engagement be the driver of content. My thing is that that’s 100% valid but that is the case with every social media platform. That’s why we have clickbait and why we have misinformation and mental health issues. It’s not any one platform it’s social media by nature
I'm not disagreeing with you. I agree 100% that social media at it's core is destroying our culture/society, and pretty much any morals we had as human beings.
I just see TikTok as its worst form though

feel like just cause I grew up with internet and see it evolve as i got older I'll be thoroughly prepared to guide my kids on how to navigate it rationally
