yea this is my first time having a cat meet a new cat

we’ve had them seperateed a couple days today i finally let her roam the place

she hisses a bit, but they’re keeping their distance from one another… poncho is very patient and curious

If poncho is receptive and not seeming angry that's actually super good because like usually it's the cat you have first that will be territorial and not wanna welcome the new cat

The new cat is probably just scared

If they start seeming too stressed out/angry/don't come out keep them separated a bit longer and try introducing them at a door with it closed and like put them around things the other cat goes on/uses a lot

Getting them used to the scent is very important

yes !!! i gave them each one of the others’ blankets the other day so they can get used to scents

but yes poncho is more than ready to be friends i think. he hasn’t made any fuss. i can’t wait for them to chill together
