    I think kendrick actually rapping from the perspective from michael Jackson's song and not him on the first verse. ABC dropped feburary 24, 1970, and kendrick talks about how his father(MJ) was a public figure that was torn down and how the accusations killed his legacy and even him(ABC)

    The second verse is about MLK and is rapped from the perspective of his I have a dream speech, which happened august 28 1963, he talks about the flaws of mlk and his infidelity on it

    The third verse is about kendrick talking about separating the artist/Influencer from the art/influence
