Of course he didn’t invent long albums and I’m not even saying long albums are inherently bad

I’m mostly talking about how more life which was openly marketed as a “playlist” rather than an album has become the blueprint for a lot of artists dropping overly long albums that are intentionally not meant to be played front to back in one sitting. Maybe I’m tripping but I’m pretty sure I noticed an uptick in that sort of thing ever since more life

Drake himself isnt even the worst offender tbh obviously a lot of people would say more life, scorpion, clb etc were bloated but HNVM and her loss are clearly not examples of this

You're not tripping. More Life deff helped usher that in and is part of the reason albums in the streaming era just function like this now
