I love that trav put in the "HEY" adlib on HYAEANA. I loved hearing that s*** on Live Fast Die Young
brought me back to that era immediately
Filler is def subjective. And I agree with you to an extent. Most albums should be shorter. But for me filler means it just doesn't fit the narrative or the theme. And I'm hard pressed to find a song that doesn't, the low hanging fruit is K-POP so I guess that. But even then 1/19?
Where does this rank in his discography for you? To me itās his worst album and a step backward while you could hear evolution throughout his other projects.
Will give it a few more spins and see if it clicks for me. As individual songs itās not bad just as a whole project itās underwhelming
Travis still hasnāt fixed Lost Forever? Heās really going to keep up this garbage version?

wym
Idk why but songs not having the āft. Whatever artistā is annoying to me lol
Delresto outro one of the best moments on the entire album

I actually love the album version more. It needed "something else" and the change up really compliments Gunn's content and delivery.
need shecks fein verse more than oxygen

Respectfully OG Lost Forever is the only reason I ever got as excited for Utopia as I did. It was perfect exactly as it was but I guess he felt the need to prove himself as we already heard the song and āsurpriseā us with a completely unnecessary beat change that just about ruins the song.
The fact that apparently Alchemist produced the 2nd beat and Iām saying this goes to show how perfect that original version was
Parasail is amazing
The way he used a Dave Chappelle feature in a way that actually fit the song and not to just be like āI got Dave Chappelle on my s***ā was superb

Personally I like the element of surprise that albums have when they donāt list the features.
Itās always dope to find out who is on an album while you are actively listening to it
Travis verse on meltdown is so foul
IZ U FUCCKN CRAzY

OG beat actually made WSG tolerable. Album version of the song pisses me off.
Another Drake x Travis lab where I donāt think he was getting carried at all but have to live with Drake fans acting like he was being babied

Same
Beat switches played out as f***
And I know

Ik ik ik ik ikkkkkkkk
I can't tell if Trav is f***ing with Kanye or not
That Biden line should really make that clear lol

I'm not sure yet. I think its gotta be up there. I think this is better than astroworld and birds. Rodeo and UTOPIA are close for me. Rodeo came out my first week in med school in Houston. I remember telling people about Travis Scott and them saying "does he sing country music?"
The thing with UTOPIA that I have to realize is that my first listen was in quite possibly the perfect setting. I have just finished residency, the culmination of a decade long journey. I had a lot of struggles in that time, it wasn't easy. Lots of people trying to put me down, etc. I had a break between finishing and starting my new job so when Travis announced the pyramid show, I jumped at the chance to go. It hurt when the event was canceled. But I went ahead and set up my own thing, I ended up in the desert with two tour guides who set up a nice dinner with a great view of the city and the pyramids. And I put in my airpods and pressed play. By the time the beat dropped on HYAENA I was literally already in love. How could I not be?
I've listened to it literally 20 times straight through since then and it's just getting better which is hard to believe. But ask me again in a few months, we will see.

Also its an attempt to make you listen all the way though rather than just go to the drake song first.
