Apparently the original instrumental + melody was created by Justin Vernon (of Bon Iver), BJ Burton, and Dua Selah. They sent their demo to numerous artists, Amber (Japanese House) and Travis among them, and they both ended up using them on their respective albums, which is why Japanese House isn’t officially credited on My Eyes as a sample

Can’t front, I’m not ranking the albums yet cuz this is still new.
But I will say that Utopia clicked with me almost instantly, the other releases i thought were dope but I ain’t realize how great they were till after multiple listens.
