what was the scene?
First one with Modern Jam was a gaspar noe directed club scene with trav rapping the song at a dj booth in a futuristic ass outfit, then the 2nd one was trav performing in an empty arena with a wall of speakers then teezo came out and hit some crazy dance moves. It was such a moment
Who else is dropping albums like this? You can count it on your hand
Kenny Mason, Topaz, and Paris Texas are up there for me as far as creativity goes.
Also HIGHLY recommend Blk Odyssy, that album this year was crazy.
true.
This is the closest thing we'll ever get to a completed yandhi
Not really
This is the closest thing we'll ever get to a completed God's Country which Kanye was working on in early 2020
60% of this album sounds like it's from the God's Country Kanye sessions
what was the scene?
It’s the scene directed by Gaspar Noe I think.
Basically Trav is DJing in this room with a bunch of alt kid looking mfs and they’re just dancing wildly.
Trav is animated as s*** dancing himself showing the most goofiest side I’ve ever seen of him and he’s wearing these JetSetRadio ass glasses lmaooo
And he’s on the mic doing the adlibs you hear in the song
ranking his albums deadass impossible for me
yeah and also bc of the nostalgia i associate with the older albums it’s impossible to rank. listening to rodeo driving around with the boys in high school and all the memories associated with it
but this album feels right up there quality wise off a few listens, can’t wait to drive around and blast this s*** late night

The "travis is rapping about nothing" mfs are so corny. Like Carti, Uzi, Thug, future etc are rapping about something substantial ?
That’s where I get tight cause mfs praise Yeat, them opium boys, and the guys you named but then get mad at this album for lyrics like come on now

It’s not about rapping about heavy topics, thug and future have a ton of quotables even though they’re rapping about money and hoes for a whole album
I’m 22 and have been following music blogs since 2007, literally seen all the current hot artists come up from being nothing
You got nearly a decade listening to and covering this music s***?
You ever had a twitter account with thousands of followers because of you sharing your two cents on music?
You get reached out to by heads at Universal when you were 19, asking if you would be interested in helping them find new artists?
I was doing street team s*** for f***ing Thank Me Later when half this forum was literally 8-12 years old
f*** out of my face with your dumbass presumptions
This is my second account for f***s sakes and it's twice as old as yours, been on KTT for nearly 4 years
Sit the f*** down child
you were following music blogs at age 6?

Him dancing to Modern Jam was so crazy lmaoo made the song hit so much harder for me
His flow felt lazy to me. You gawking on his s*** won’t change my opinion
How does one listen to this album and come away with the word “lazy” to describe any aspect of it
Him dancing to Modern Jam was so crazy lmaoo made the song hit so much harder for me
Instantly iconic s***
Him dancing to Modern Jam was so crazy lmaoo made the song hit so much harder for me

I suppose, but the point is that this is the closest thing we'll get to the level kanye usually operated on when he was truly focused on the music
anyone got a link to the scene? lol I want to see
I’m guessing it’s out there I haven’t seen since last night
for a site that loves to tout their knowledge of rap and their love of good bars, people on ktt f***ing hate taking rap lyrics at anything past face value
I'm convinced a lot of people here just for the memes they don't care about debating music for real
