I think another thing is that Kanye has always been an open book re: his life for better or worse, so we the listeners know exactly who he is and what his perspective is. Trav is basically just a robot. I watched that Netflix doc on him and learned nothing.

The music is excellent sonically, but on these songs where he's rapping, I'm not invested in what he's saying at all.
