ThomForkThomas did a bunch of interviews this year (while promoting his classical solo album) talking about how much he disliked the idea of uncontrolled AI and said that part of the reason Daft Punk broke up was that they didn't want to engage with any kind of modernity related to technological advancements in AI. He didn't want their robot personas to get mixed up with a support of that.
Their final music video (the one that came out this year for "Infinity Repeating") is essentially a full-on condemnation of AI in art.
I don’t mean to nitpick, I appreciate the explanation, but what about the infinity repeating video did you feel was an anti ai statement? I took it just as their legacy sort of

PARIS WIFII may be completely misremembering but I think he said in an interview that the album was inspired by humanity’s failure to reach a utopia. Makes a bit more sense through that lens but yeah the whole “utopia” concept really doesn’t seem to be a big focus on here
I agree with this & I think it’s more of what you make it out to be yourself
