Self-titled so underrated man

I think objectively these are the most Deftones defining songs: Digital Bath, Be Quiet and Drive, and Change.

It feels criminal not to include Sextape there, since that's the song I would pick for a first time listener. But I think Sextape falls into a different tier of Deftones songs: the slow bangers. Sextape, Beauty School, Cherry Waves, Minerva, 976-EVIL, Entombed.

Then you have the straight bangers. The gnarly riffs and heavy Chino vox. Dai the Flu, Korea, Elite, My Own Summer, Knife Prty, Rocket Skates.

Then there's a whole different tier of hidden gems which do heavy and serene on the same song. Deep cuts like Bloody Cape, This Place Is Death, Pink Maggit. Those are my personal favorites even if they don't get mentioned as much or aren't "objective" bests.

But man, it's crazy how many other great tracks I left out, like Risk, Rosemary, Battle-axe, Swerve City, Mascara, Rubicon. Deftones disco is insane man
