I missed this thread but what makes you think your parents would have an issue with her being over?
Being scared to have your girl over for the night but just randomly popping up telling your mom that you got a baby on the way (that will probably be staying at your parents house with u) is wild
I mean idk if she’s gonna spend the night every night, I said I want to hangout with her in my room, just saying

I don’t know, I thought like guys are uncomfortable in general bringing girls over but I guess I was wrong

If you have no reason to suspect your parents would be disapproving of you having a girl over, do it. Also just peeped you have a baby on the way? Should have done this years ago lol
Man, I worked at burger King, went to college and had my own place (with roommates) at 19. Yall just like having it easy
How’s living with roommates different from living with family honestly

Ok I get it I get what you’re saying f*** I thought parents don’t like it when kids bring their partners over to have alone time, I don’t know man
Edit: we didn’t start going out till like 4-5 months ago lol
Yeah but 24 you're old enough to move past the awkward moving around stage. At that point you're an adult similar to a roommate
Yeah that part is OP being kinda weird lol but I was referring to the comments telling him to move out or something
guyland by Micheal Kimmel is a great book about this and other issues of men growing up later than now
Interesting maybe I’ll check it out
but u cant say maturity hasnt slowed down too
i mean with this lack of money comes a lack of responsibilities. people are having kids later, making major life moves like buying a house later etc. i know people who are in their late 30s who havent hit those milestones yet
theres no doubt imo that maturity has been delayed and many are living their childhood dreams out as adults
Yeah but it’s because of the economy not evolutionary factors or whatever you said in the other post

I also recommend this. Read some of it while my ex was studying it for class

There’s no conversation to be had about having night guests, drinking, smoking weed or having s***when you have roommates lol

Fair but for most of those if you’re over 20 it’s not much of a conversation to be had anyway
I mean we have a kid in the way, I wanan be their for my child man
WHAT
So many more things you need to be worried about man.
24.
Kid on the way.
Both of y'all living with parents.
Mom is working and father isn't, so the house is probably uncomfortable to move around in with an additional guest.
Do YOU and your girl have a job?
What's the plan for the baby and the future for you two with a child.

Maybe if you got cool parents or you’re the only child
But if you got younger siblings especially still in school most of those are a no go or if you just got those type of parents lol
