tbh this might be an unpopular opinion but I think talking about the more tabloid-esque parts of music still constitute as music discussion I don't think it's realistic to expect people to not talk about the personal lives of the artists we listen to. And I don't think ktt isn't unique in that regard either because I guarantee more people were talking about stuff like the 2pac and Biggie beef than they were any smaller artists at the time. If ktt was around back then, any 2pac gossip thread would get 20+ pages while a Digable Planets thread would get 3 pages at most lmao

op instead of complaining about an issue that really isn’t there you could actually open threads with people sharing new music and artists or look into the what im listening to thread and see that people are still sharing new artists all the time

i made three threads in the past month sharing new music that had some decent discussion and the artist/label threads are good outside of the drake ones which have devolved into argued recently

Brother. It's probably because 90% of this site is 25+. Which in fairness is fine, but for f***s sake they need to at least post music that isn't just hip-hop. There are probably 900 billion different sound recordings out there, and people here are focused on the same 20 releases in the last week. It's pathetic.

Dude I wasn't even able to create threads with my last account. I listen to probably 6 hours of music a day on average. If people cared, I would love to promote new stuff.
