If you have to ask for a kiss on the cheek instead of it being a natural thing or something she initiates herself she’s probably just doing it out of obligation so the situation doesn’t get weird. But honestly there is such a fine line between being "assertive" and being "aggressive". If you ask a girl say for example "is it ok if i kiss you" they may see you as a little b****.
