    labels don't exist to build nor scout for artists anymore
    they don't A&R anymore
    artists basically have to have buzz on their own first before a label gives af to throw a fishing line in their water

    so it's no real mistake we haven't seen a worthwhile generation of artists since the soundcloud rap days

    tiktok obviously also played a major part in the deconstruction of the music industry
