As the person who started this trend let me ask you something.
What have you actually contributed to make KTT2 a better site? Make 50 threads about Lil B?
Yeah that's great bro. You do you.
As for the people who wanna broaden their musical horizons, let them. Its making for good music discussion and debate, not just the same 100 rehashed threads about Drake or Yeat.
Instead of yelling to the clouds, why don’t you contribute something that could inspire other users?
He’s the most hatin ass nigga on this entire site. Won’t front, I’m enjoying the backfiring of this thread
Never forget

This is one of those times you just have to accept your L and keep it moving.
op is lowkey right, at least in my experience of listening to discographies
imo going through an artists discog is much more rewarding when you spend a lot of time with each album
plus if you’re just powering through them in a checklist fashion, arent you going to get bored of that artist really quickly?
You can still spend a lot of time with each album tho. Y’all wouldn’t say this about listening to albums by different artists in a short period. If I listen to 1989 then MBDTF then Rodeo then Kid A in a short period, there is no “you didn’t let the albums digest”. It’s no different from listening to albums by one artist, idk why that distinction is making some of you think it is
Why is it so hard to grasp that just because you listen to Album B right after Album A that doesn’t mean you can’t let Album A marinate on its own. Listening to the two albums literally have nothing to do with each other

Exactly. This is like Deebo getting his ass beat at the end of Friday. Whole community coming together to just enjoy this moment

Folks acting like there’s a universal cooldown time period for listening to projects.

What’s stupid is they don’t think this in general. Cause it’s common sense that’s it makes no sense. But for some reason they think it applies to albums by the same artist
“I can’t watch two movies in the same day because each one won’t digest” headass

Films are different, not many that you need to rewatch and ponder to appreciate. Alot of the best music needs a while to sink in.
I wasn't joking about waiting roughly 6 months between albums but I have no problem watching 3 movies in a day if I actually can.
I agree OP, s*** is lame and attention seeking.
i thought this at first but its rly not that srs
Yeah @Uhhhhhh started one of the best trends oat on here. It’s always dope witnessing someone discover new music in real time. And then people that f*** with that poster might decide to peep some if it’s given a good review. This trend is exactly what this site needed. It’s most definitely refreshing.

Can’t you listen to a bunch of albums in a short timespan and wait a while to relisten to each one tho?
How dare people try to bring content to this site that isn't "Has Kendrick fallen off?" or "Is Gunna the greatest rapper of all time?"

i would actually venture to say that there can be way more to unpack and interpret within a film than there is in an album. music can be more of an immediate thing, i think.
notice i'm using the words "can be" because it's not a one size fits all thing. someone more well versed in film than music would probably be on the other side of that argument.
OP when someone talks about music in the music section of a music forum named after a musician…

I guess the reason is while watching a movie it’s easier to focus on the movie and with music you usually do something else while listening to it so you’re distracted
But yeah I rarely change my mind about a movie, but if I listen to an album 3-4 times I might change my mind about it
