How come you didn’t reply to me
I fell asleep
You are a troll Will. I don't know why you think I'm ever going to take anything you say in good faith. Over the course of your time on this forum you have pretended to be white, asian, whatever fits you at the moment. You have advocated for the genocide of muslims, and posted a litany of other opinions that could only be considered bottom of the barrel. I don't care to discuss how to get there with you, a non troll, because I don't see the need to down a f***ing rabbit hole of "but what if this happens" or "that would never work" or "thats not how it works in reality" or "no one would do that" etc., etc.,
just dropping by to say we should get rid of Will I agree
I read this in full. So, in summary, what I'm taking away from this is: capitalism bad? I feel like focusing on the atrocities that came as a result of it will diminish all the good stuff that came with it. An all out capitalist approach might not be viable, but borrowing elements that work from socialism and other approaches can yield somewhat good results.

No, it can't. Humanity has progressed past the need for capitalism. All the reforms in the world are not sufficient enough
why do people keep blaming capitalism when the US isn’t even a fully capitalist state
Lol

If we've progressed past the need of capitalism, then how do I do robotics research? I'm not aware of any socialized stepper motor manufacturer. Well I don't even know of any socialized food producer. You gotta build these things before you go claiming capitalism is pointless.
Even if you're saying 1+1=2, you still gotta prove it, you can't just say it.
can we just do capitalism with free healthcare and education and call it a day

No

You could do those things under socialism
Ill translate it:
“I’m mad people don’t share my opinion. Capitalism bad, communism good.”
why not
Because those things dont put an end to exploitation. They are necessary but not sufficient
can we just do capitalism with free healthcare and education and call it a day
America has one of the most f***ed up healthcare systems, hands down.

What is the evidence of us not needing it anymore

We have an abundance of resources and infrastructure in the world

These developments are a result of capitalistic growth. I understand maybe the modern day socialist may not exactly rally for complete state ownership, as this would be a bad idea, but when you bring a socialist approach alone, it stagnates any form of risk, which might sound good, but it eliminates the growth you're seeing.
It is because of capitalism that we can take finite resources and come up with innovative ideas. No system is perfect, but capitalism is still the best we got, even with all the economic inequality and wealth disparity that needs to be worked out.

Saying all these things doesn't make them true. Capitalism does not spur innovation or growth, nor do those but the ones at the top truly benefit from said growth .
If your idea of the best we've got is a system that relies on the exploitation of ppl through various means then you indeed suffer from a lack of imagination
