Ill translate it:
“I’m mad people don’t share my opinion. Capitalism bad, communism good.”
So you assumed I wanted to debate and not learn lol?
Well considering your first post was not even a question
You're still focusing on the person instead of the audience man. I don't know how else to phrase this because I was interested in your answer to his comment and then u just said "lol kick rocks idiot". Like how else can I show u it's not about the person you're replying to but the ppl reading this thread who are interested in reading a nice back and forth discussion.
I've tried doing what you said and debating these people, but it's honestly not worth it. They don't respond with anything substantial whatsoever. It's just exhausting and frustrating.
“ people will believe, despite all evidence to the contrary, that through hard work, a good idea or two, and simply staying on the grind that they will get rich and reach the upper strata of society, that they alone have the formula for beating the odds and overcoming all the barriers put in their way”
lol this is literally true tho what evidence is there against this. im not defending capitalism bc ppl across the world get f***ed financially but it is very possible from someone from the bottom of the bottom to utilize their talent, create a innovative/profitable business and become comfortable to do wtv they want if not wealthy. theres no better alternative than that. socialism esp bc 1. no such thing as equality/fairness and 2. most people wouldnt even enjoy it
Well considering your first post was not even a question
Did you not ask a question in your original post? Why would my first post be a question lol
highkey you really want to debate, no explanations or teaching will be done here
to me capitalism is like nature, you gotta work hard and fight for what u want. when you transform ur mind to be relentless, creative, and disciplined then you'll find yourself achieving more like an apex predator. dont hate the game, level up
These aren't questions that I have to provide you with an answer to. I'm one person. A radical change in society isnt going to happen on my back alone, everyone involved in the struggle has a role to play
I respect your demand for change, and I hope you'll join me one day when waterworld passes by your area. Sorry for being so condescending, you're right that no one person will single handedly change the world.
I guess I'll be a hypocrite and rant about my plan. I've figured out how to 3D print land, you can print an acre for less than a grand, just printing vertical interlocking pontoons. Waterworld will be built on these in international waters, it will consist of decentralized and self governing floating towns, cities and independent people. Some of them will remain stationary, others will travel the world. Some will be libertarian capitalist societies, others will be communistic, and it will be up to the individual to choose what system works best for them, one of the few "laws" of waterworld is the freedom of travel and choice of which political system you work under.
I'm still working on energy generation, sustainable and cheap food production and the extraction or farming of raw resources we could use for the manufacturing of products and the construction of homes and buoyant platforms, potentially reducing the capital/external cost of printing land to 0 for communistic societies. This means that communist societies could actually function independently without resorting to purchasing certain resources from capitalist adversaries, allowing one to actually try communism both consensually and without having to convert the entire world at once.
I'm only a year away from printing my first house boat with a workshop onboard, which I will hopefully use to manufacture and sell houseboats and other products, which will then fund the expansion of my city state on Lake Ontario, which will eventually become the seed for all political decentralized waterworld states, be them communist or capitalist.
It might not work, but this is how you actually change the world instead of just imaging what it could be.

Ah yes, nature, where you spent all day gathering nuts and berries, and then handed 90% of them to some guy who sat there doing nothing all day claiming he was your boss.

Not saying I disagree but I feel like this is also OP’s point, that we can’t even imagine a world where everyone lives equally without having to compete with each other to enjoy life
Did you not ask a question in your original post? Why would my first post be a question lol
highkey you really want to debate, no explanations or teaching will be done here
I dont want to debate. I'm simply asking you what is it you want explained
Ah yes, nature, where you spent all day gathering nuts and berries, and then handed 90% of them to some guy who sat there doing nothing all day claiming he was your boss.
or where that guy got tired of doing that and learned a profitable skill where he could take 100% of the nuts/berries

So just like I said you're believing this despite all evidence pointing to the fact that this isnt really how things work in society writ-large
or where that guy got tired of doing that and learned a profitable skill where he could take 100% of the nuts/berries
You act like it's so simple.
Not saying I disagree but I feel like this is also OP’s point, that we can’t even imagine a world where everyone lives equally without having to compete with each other to enjoy life
i get that but i truly dont think a utopian society on a planet ruled by selfish/evil ppl is achievable. when we die and go to heaven (hopefully) is when s*** will be all fun and happiness
Ah yes, nature, where you spent all day gathering nuts and berries, and then handed 90% of them to some guy who sat there doing nothing all day claiming he was your boss.
Ah yes, picking berries in the forest all day just to get a basket full, ye good old days. F*** farms that are able to grow tonnes of berries on a single acre and allow individuals to harvest orders of magnitude more than they ever could have in the wild in exchange for a portion of their harvest amirite? I miss malaria and parasites :'( #borntoolate
Saying all these things doesn't make them true. Capitalism does not spur innovation or growth, nor do those but the ones at the top truly benefit from said growth .
If your idea of the best we've got is a system that relies on the exploitation of ppl through various means then you indeed suffer from a lack of imagination
Ayt bruh, what's your actual plan? And don't just tell me we should all get on board with socialism because that's not a tangible plan.
You act like it's so simple.
bc it is. life is really what u make of it. u could even get primal and start robbing people for money and flip it idk

He was trying to compare capitalism to nature. Apparently you missed that part, and tried to say we've moved past that (capitalism).
So just like I said you're believing this despite all evidence pointing to the fact that this isnt really how things work in society writ-large
lol what evidence says otherwise and how do things really work then??
Not saying I disagree but I feel like this is also OP’s point, that we can’t even imagine a world where everyone lives equally without having to compete with each other to enjoy life
Competition and risk taking is what drives our species since the dawn of time. It's what drives us now. Of course the two elements, in extremity, can be dangerous. But to suggest they're no longer necessary is something that has not been substantiated with enough evidence. So I can't yet agree with that ideal
lol what evidence says otherwise and how do things really work then??
Every study dealing with success drivers and socioeconomic mobility
Ayt bruh, what's your actual plan? And don't just tell me we should all get on board with socialism because that's not a tangible plan.
As I told the other person, it's not my job to tell you a plan on how we get there. No one knows how such a revolutionary process will begin, but you cannot rush it either
i get that but i truly dont think a utopian society on a planet ruled by selfish/evil ppl is achievable. when we die and go to heaven (hopefully) is when s*** will be all fun and happiness
Yeah I definitely agree that greed and selfishness from people are the biggest block to becoming a utopian society. The question then is how do we bring up future generations with more empathy/love to build a utopian society while we live in a capitalist one? Because we obviously can’t skip ahead to the utopia part when people are still controlled by their greed

3D printing land sounds insane, god damn. Good luck with your endeavour, I admire innovative people like you.
