Yea,Vibez was a dope album but he literally let the Kanye feature take the spotlight over the whole album. Theos destiny was always to be a tastemaker,supermodel dating,suave motherfucker,and then ASAP Rocky happened and he couldn't compete.

That’s a good point about Rocky coming through cause Theo def came out first. It’s funny cause I think a lot of folks feel like Theo was trying to be ASAP when it wasn’t like that at all.

Rocky definitely wasn't trying to steal Theo's lane tho,Rocky just caught on faster and stronger in NYC and worldwide. Theo was cosplaying as an 80s big city suaveman at first,caught on big with hipsters and nothing more.

Oh yeah definitely I’m not saying Rocky stole anything. It was just a timing thing and Rocky definitely had it going for him more than Theo ever could. Theo was making electro/soul types of raps and grooves while Rocky had underground/cloud rap which was buzzing more at the time. Rocky was making anthems and setting trends

Theo had his day though,he was a Complex/Fader darling and just just had that "look" alot of hipster dudes were going for back then,straying far away from looking Hip Hop. I kinda f***ed with his music and kinda didn't,he was never that strong of a rapper to me.
