That’s the thing 😂 Upgraded to a wasteful 3090 a while ago and it still drags

The atmosphere of this game
Legit playing this with the new camera, clean hud and a pair of headphones using the new 3D audio mix is just
Im whyyylin rn
Getting p****, slaying vermin getting p**** dominating everyone at mystical card games
I'm really out here velen
I don't get it I see people saying the combat and movement is trash but it's still a masterpiece
I'll have to get to this at some point to see why

The combat isn’t trash. The only reason that sort of stuff was said about it was because it released really close to Bloodborne, and for whatever reason a lot of people felt compelled to compare the two (which is stupid because Bloodborne and Souls games in general are literally built around the combat, it’s how you interact with the world).
Now of course it’s an 8 year old game, but even still, it’s combat is adequate at worst.
Started playin this with the classic version, only mini gripes are how i have to keep opening inventory to keep reapplying oil once it runs out and how little exp some side quests give
Everything else is nice but still figuring s*** out.

I think the little EXP comes only if you're overleveled for the side-quest.
If you're in the intended level range, you get decent EXP.
Enjoy man, the Witcher 3 is a top 3 game OAT, imo.
One of the best written games ever, with some of the most legendary RPG questlines in history.
Wish I could play this for the first time.
I vividly remember the Skellige theme song playing in my head wherever I went IRL for the next 2 weeks after arriving there in the game.
S***, this might be the greatest game ever, now thinking bout it, once it's said and done.

Literally one of the greatest open worlds ever.
From the swampy, death-infested, middle-age reminiscent Velen to the epic, Nordic wilderness of Skellige, no game, IMO, made such an atmospheric, living, breathing, world such as this game.

I heard the DLC are like games on their own . I’m slightly overwhelmed at the idea of how long this game is gonna be . Especially since i started persona 5 as well . I might literally beat in April but that’s fine

Yeah, they are. With each expansion you literally get a new region of the map plus a main quest that lasts 10+ hours, give or take.
Plus, new armors, weapons, side-quests, etc.
Some of the greatest DLCs ever tbh
I think I have about 250 - 300 hours in the game, and I played through the main quest, both DLCs and most sidequests + have 3 armor sets complete (Griffin, Wolf and Cat). Though, I did play through the game in 2020 when Covid was hittin and I was working from home, so I had all the time in the world on my hands tbh

Damn I’m jealous cause these dense ass games was perfect for 2020 . I’m so busy i can only do like 2 hours a day max (really 1) and maybe a little more on the weekend. Good to know i can live with game for a while. The 10 hour quest lines got me intrigued

Steam says I'm at 130 hours but I think I missed a ton of stuff. The game goes on forever.
anyone else playing this on ps5 and not getting any playtime recorded? Went to check how long I’ve been playing in my profile and it’s just empty

genuinely one of the worst mechanics i’ve ever seen in a video game
dunno how they could be so shortsighted
