I was on self-mute for a couple days so I havent shared my thoughts.

loved the finale. had me on the edge of my seat for a lot of it.

the dinner scene with the 3 ladies was great. their whole season arc was pretty flawless in my view.

i loved the rick/chelsea ending and the shootout as a whole. while there are some nits you can pick about the specific twists and turns, i was very entertained by it all and found them to be great characters with a satisfying ending (even if that ending was more on the unrealistic and overly dramatic side).

overall, season 3 was of very similar quality to the first 2. i think any ranking of the 3 seasons is valid so i'm not bothered if someone says 3 was the worst, or 3 was the best (i lean closer to having it as the best but i need a rewatch of szn2 to really decide).

I always found White Lotus to be a bit overrated but they’re entertaining. Agree with many of the criticisms of that finale. Many times this show has characters make decisions to move forward the plot rather than aligns with the character. I won’t mention the unresolved plot lines because I feel like that’s a staple of the show atp not every character gets their plot wrapped up

But that Lochi set up was about as contrived as it could get in an episode.

Dad leaves the blender out when he’s aware he has a son that makes protein shakes every day —> Lochi decides to use a dirty blender because he wants to try the pina colada I guess although he didn’t need to add protein or water for that —> rest of the family wakes up and decides to let the father sleep in on their last day and leave Lochi behind just so it can be only them 2 for that near death scene.

Don’t get me wrong I really liked the near death scene and the scene with the dad holding his dying son but it needed to be set up better

Yeah it’s like you said the cycle continues. To me it showed he wants to do good and be this changed person, unfortunately he relapsed and went on a binge but now he’s trying once again to get his life back on track.

It’s a good contrast of Piper, someone who couldn’t even handle 1 day at the temple because of the food and bed

I’m rewatching and holy s*** the “that’s your father” s*** is more stupid than I thought.

So Jim (Rick’s dad) knows Rick thinks he killed his dad. When they run into each other the next day Rick tries to walk away, why tf does Jim purposely provoke him and feed him lies to make it seem like “I did kill your dad”….just let him walk away. What was the point in provoking him with nonsense?

“What you wanna kill me now?” (Shows gun) You’re provoking your son into killing you? Why?
