If it's indeed the inspiration behind that mask then I don't feel the reference is obvious enough... Everything seems too sharp to be inspired by Griffith or The Phantom... Because those designs are more rounded and bird inspired
At first glance it looks more like a Batman reference than anything
He did reference Berserk (Griffith) for the Sacrifice MV though...
