the scene that ruined it for me was anima trying to convince him songs were sad - that seemed over the top vain - outside of that it was genuinely solid
so basically what i've been saying when ranting about dawn and hut rollouts. #noticing.
he needs to take a step back, release those albums, shut up and dribble and try to land roles in films by respected auteurs
Idk about the last part
Not everyoneâs meant to be an actor
breh. this guy was reshooting idol, WHILE touring usa, WHILE doing the album, then re-shaping the album because of the sofi incident, WHILE doing pre-production and then production on the movie, WHILE making songs for Idol
Workrate is crazy but he missed on the idol

i agree somewhat, but i'd like him doing comedy

Weâre still getting the original hurry up tomorrow #trust #iâllnevergetthechancetosaygoodbye
Why lol
Some bits of the movie broke me because they were so relatable but in a weird profound way
i really liked this
or atleast half of it
the first half was ridiculously slow and didnt feel like it was going anywhere (and had way too many random needle drops of songs from the album)
second half was great and really made me fully understand his decision to leave the 'the weeknd' persona behind
they did him so dirty by making that one scene go viral with no context
in the film its very clearly played comedically and it works so well
he did a great job on the acting front imo

What the f*** would you know about âauteursâ? Do you think that making art is basically just going up to an agent and placing an order lmfao. The guy youâre supposedly a fan of makes a passion project all you can think about is ârollouts! rottentomatoes!! reception !!â. Dude has achieved EVERYTHING a pop star could achieve, this isnât 2019 and there is no need for proper rollouts or calculated focus-grouped role-picking anymore
when Young Thug gets into his introspective bag, turns to jazz and makes a collab album with The Alchemist

I think heâs just saying that Abelâs transition into film would fare better if he worked his way up into it instead of starting at 100. He has potential but heâs not naturally gifted like he is with music, itâs something heâs going to have to work at

yeah def overworked

I will say even if I thought the movie was underwhelming it did help bring the album back into the forefront for me, such a great record
