Seeing him and the producers winning a Grammy for all the hard work they’ve done would be really special.

smart move by abel. people have low-attention span and continue watching after their fav artists get snubbed. might as well get them to apologize in front of the world and do a comeback

What the actual F*** was Carti doing

I hate how these new gen rappers just don’t care about performing, and then they wonder why their tours are never sold out

I wonder if they just offered a huge check. The Black Collective thing sounds weird and virtue signaling. Even with them finally awarding Beyonce with AOTY, everything is just weird af and forced. The Grammys lost all credibility over the past decade of deliberately snubbing good and successful Black music. I don't think any real artist gives much worth to a Grammy trophy anymore that's why Bey's speech was so short lol

Filmmaker Eddie Alcazar On Creating The Weeknd’s Surreal Short ‘Red Terror’, “An Experience That Pushes Boundaries”

    Source: Deadline

Alcazar created the nightmarish fantasy film concept following a conversation with the multi-Grammy Award-winning singer and actor who requested that “a boy in a haunted forest” be the story’s focal point. From idea to concept to final product took Alcazar about three to four months to complete.

“The creative freedom and time I had working with Abel allowed us to dive deep into raw themes and bold techniques. By blending live action, stop motion, and VFX, we’ve crafted something truly unique—an experience that pushes boundaries while staying rooted in raw emotion,” Alcazar told Deadline on Saturday following the project’s drop.

His work on The Vandal caught the attention of The Weeknd, born Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, leading to their two collaborations on Hurry Up Tomorrow.

In addition to Red Terror, Alcazar directed The Weeknd’s recent “Open Hearts” performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! which aired just as his album dropped. The performance serves as a prequel to “Red Terror,” ending with The Weeknd following a toddler version of himself out into the forest.

“Abel’s music and work ethic are incredibly inspiring, and we were determined to create visuals that matched the richness and quality of his sound. Our ongoing conversations over the past few months kept unlocking new layers of detail, allowing us to expand and deepen the world we were building,” Alcazar shared.

He continued, “Stop motion is an intricate, painstaking craft—often considered a lost art—with animators averaging just five seconds of footage per day. Every frame demands meticulous attention, from the tiniest set adjustments to the subtlest character movements. I’m truly grateful that Abel trusted this process, embracing the slow, deliberate pace required to bring such handcrafted artistry to life on such a grand scale.”

Is it just me or was his performance kinda ass

Ass is a bit much I think, but it was one of the less grand performances of the night.
If CRM merged into a better song than Timeless (I thought TMBTLA would be dope since they’re donating and stuff) it would have been better.
Carti has good music, but he’s like a charisma vacuum on stage from the performances of his I’ve seen

I understand why some XO are upset that he performed, and I do admit that with the ability to read between the lines, it’s pretty clear he likely just got over it and was angry in the moment, but I think it’s still nice to see him bridging the gap again.
Grammy’s have their own problems and will never be perfect, but I actually am enjoying watching the recording of it more than I thought; and it’s better for everyone to be involved, since they’ll always be powerful and important in a way. I think good artists, particularly good artists of color just deciding to not participate will hurt them more than it will hurt the Grammys, and also send a weird message to the people who still watch the Grammys and take them seriously
