personal interpretation of the trilogy is

At the end of AH, time kind of freezes for him and hes stuck in the moment just before he dies. Hes in purgatory (dawn fm) but it keeps repeating because hes refusing to accept it and come to peace with it.

HUT is his last loop through purgatory, hes still refusing to accept his death, until the end of Given Up On Me

From there he starts to look back at his life without regret and celebrate it (I Cant wait to get there, timeless, niagara falls)

Then he starts his final goodbyes and accepts his death(Take me back to LA - HUT)

Then hes back at the moment of his death in AH and finally slips away

The “old man” on Dawn is more representative of him being in purgatory at the end of life rather than literal. It’s the version of him that exists in the purgatory state. He awakes in Wake Me Up, and he’s back to his young self

I think thematically it’s similar but also slightly different in a weird way

I like it around the mid point but the drums absolutely suck on there

I honestly think if he had metro do drums for that song it would be way better

Run away shouldn’t have been cut. And honestly ditf grew on me heavy I think the acoustic version or some blend would’ve especially fit here
