    There’s like two 80’s revival songs in the first half and those are Open Hearts and Wake Me Up lmao. Yall hear synths and electronic soundscapes and automatically throw out the “80’s” label.

    Exactly. Only songs on the entire album that sound “80s” in the vein of Dawn FM are Wake Me Up, Open Hearts, and Take Me Back To LA. So I’m not surprised people that don’t like Dawn love this album instead

    You could throw Give Me Mercy in there too but the point still stands. This is furthest from an 80’s album aside from those couple songs.
