A long time ago, in the underground realm, where there are no lies or pain, there lived a Princess who dreamed of the human world. She dreamed of blue skies, soft breeze, and sunshine. One day, eluding her keepers, the Princess escaped. Once outside, the brightness blinded her and erased every trace of the past from her memory. She forgot who she was and where she came from. Her body suffered cold, sickness, and pain. Eventually, she died. However, her father, the King, always knew that the Princess' soul would return, perhaps in another body, in another place, at another time. And he would wait for her, until he drew his last breath, until the world stopped turning

Far away now is the soul in its eternal glory. Because it is in pain that we find the meaning of life and the state of grace that we lose when we are born.

It's always been one of my favorite parts of being a fan. The endless sources of inspiration on every album provides so much to dig into as a creative. One of the most listened to artists in the world and he's consistently referencing unique and niche films/TV shows/books to learn from. No matter how much fame he's gained over the years, he's still the kid on Tumblr posting cool stuff

It's ultimately what it's about, staying that kid by heart that never stops being curious and being full of discovery. There is so much beauty and amazing art in the world but it can seem jaded by the small lens called mainstream music. Memento Mori was a tastement to Abel's love for the art and all his music video's serves the same purpose, to remind people of all the great art it references
