brotha, no albums are 1LP lol. that's why this whole convo is so hilarious. if it's 1LP, then Abel is a scammer cause it will have like 8 tracks

I mean some albums are lol but it would be a first for him and I think there’s basically no chance given his albums almost always are over an hour. So I agree with you here.

There are numerous albums that are 1LP lmao, I’m a vinyl collector. It’s about runtime, not track length.

If an artist dropped an 8 song album that was an hour and a half long, then the vinyl would most certainly be 2LP at minimum.

But this being 1LP and saying first pressing just means that the first edition vinyl will have less songs than the actual album does. That’s literally all it means

Ah damn, over an hour albums are a chore to listen start to finish 😅

The music has to be really, really good to be worth it

    SECOND ALBUM

The vinyl saying 1LP and “First Pressing” only reveals to us that this specific edition of the vinyl will be under a certain runtime (probably around 35-40 minutes).

It does not reveal anything about the track length, because LPs are determined by overall runtime, not track length.

Using Weeknd’s own projects as an example:

    • Kiss Land is only 10 tracks long, but has a runtime of 55 minutes, so it was pressed on to 2LP.

    • House of Balloons is only 9 tracks long, but has a runtime of 49 minutes, so it was pressed on to 2LP.

Hurry Up Tomorrow’s First Pressing vinyl being 1LP doesn’t mean the entire album is 8 tracks, nor does it mean that the tracklist on this first batch of vinyl will be the final tracklist of the album.

This is most likely a Cowboy Carter, Pink Friday 2, Mixtape Pluto scenario where the initial vinyl pressings for these albums didn’t include the full tracklists for each album. This could be done for a variety of reasons, but the main one is to ensure that physical copies are pressed and ready to go by the time the album releases.

Do we know for sure that it being 1LP isn't a placeholder?

At this point it’s very unlikely. 2LPs are never as cheap as $16, which is what this First Pressing is selling for pretty much everywhere right now.

Also, this reputable online site that I use a ton, Turntable Lab, has the album listed for pre-order right now, and even they don’t notate it as a 2LP. They have the rest of his discography in stock and every other project is listed as a 2LP besides HUT.

Between the “First Pressing” notation and the studio pics that were dated December 2024, I think it’s safe to assume that they continued working on the album up until its’ release, contrary to the belief that the entire thing was turned in months ago since the physicals were already pressed

So this also means he could have worked on the album till like this month? Because those studio pictures with giorgio where from end of December

There is no “if” about it, the first edition of the vinyl will 100% not be the entire album
