Album theory. Spoiler-ing bc I’m silly and think that it might be too close to the plan and I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who doesn’t want that: First part of Hurry Up Tomorrow, The Weeknd is trying to get into heaven, driving towards the light, trying on different masks and sounds. Something happens though and he breaks down and we hear that process. And then the second half is accepting that it really is too late for him, he chose Vegas for heaven’s gate, but he now he just wishes he could be home, but he must accept his fate with open arms. So all the singles are first half, but Regular/Run Away, In Heaven those are second half, post realization. I even feel like The Crowd/Wake Me Up could start off the second half and not the first.
