    The Town
    Try Me
    Too Late

Which of these songs are worse than Party Monster?

I love Party Monster but I actually see your point, it was only up from PM, and that’s a great song on its own.

I love Party Monster; it’s one of my faves from Star Boy.
Didn’t know it was contentious, tbh

“But I just want to know what comes after,” he concludes, looking into the fire. “I want to know what tomorrow looks like.”

I was too, but that’s looking unlikely, from the recent interview.

The point they make can also refer to producers right?

  • I’m so afraid that this album will have a lot of features. I said this many times but Abel on his best when he’s on his own.

The article says the album closer “recalls Prince’s Purple Rain”

Do you think they mean it samples or interpolates it?

I mean he has been in that ballpark before... Although they probably tried to capture Human Nature more.... "Scared To Live" now imagine it with big distorted guitars and Abel singing in falsetto.

Yes, the lone example of “guests” they gave was Moroder

All we need is some type of Doc production and everything will be appropriate as the last Weeknd era

I think he mentions it and it’s more of a long reflective track to close the album

When you think about it, it could be the After Hours of this album, in the same way its the Purple Rain of yhis albu

Idk though, I think since we already got two with the singles, more vocalists are bound to come. I just hope they fit in well enough

Musically, the “Hurry Up Tomorrow” album includes plenty of the sleek, chrome-plated hooks that have characterized many of the Weeknd’s biggest hits. But to a degree he hasn’t really done before, it also includes explorations of other genres: classic R&B, straight pop, acoustic guitars, fast beats and an epic, sweeping song, probably the finale, that recalls Prince’s “Purple Rain.”

  • Jan 10, 2025

if he's ending the trilogy with a purple rain esque track, i need the next record to dive deep into that era of prince's sound. gimme funk and rock and everything in-between abel
