im sorry but you can't deny there is a major disconnect between some of the songs we heard and the album concept as we know it lol.
songs like wmu, the crowd, tmbtla, runaway or hold your heart are from a completely different planet than these singles bar MAYBE ditf
Heartless, Blinding Lights, and After Hours definitely all sounded like they were from the same album!
I work on mortal kombat 1
Cool cool
Are you a fan of the genre and that specific franchise? Or do you just treat it as work and nothing more?

They really didnât though. It wasnât until the whole album came out where you heard how they fit together in the tracklist.
The rose colored glasses yâall have for After Hours is something

Donât think Abel is doing 300K?
Donât think Abel is doing 300K?
no shot. gon be glad to be wrong tho
no shot, its too long with a slow tempo for its verses, same situation that Scared to live had. but it doesnt matter take me back to la is sooo f***ing good, and the songwriting is beauty
He a big enough artist that the BPM doesnât matter too much. Adele s*** sells. I think if he came out the gate with TMBTLA it would have been a huge song for him or at least a great appetizer for the upcoming album. Instead we got 3 blatant attempts of making a hit song which ainât quite doing it for most.

Heâs easily doing 300K what are we doing man
he barely sold 150k with Dawn FM and that one had much more hype behind it
150k with no physicals

No physicals. It did 150K in streaming alone.
This Tyler album did the exact same streaming number, but it did 146K in physicals
Niggas still bring up Dawnâs numbers almost three years later without understanding the context behind them
TLDR: he likes the song and thinks the production is fire but feels that Abel was too reserved on the track and should have done more vocally
