    It’s really embarrassing.

Anitta is not even considered “Brazilian music” despite being Brazilian. Out of so many great musicians, he picks her

Brazilians can only make Brazillian music?

I see why people vehemently do not like her because of her image and context (r/Brazil have a lot to say about her) but at the same time it’s like how are you gonna harp on that stuff all while listening to weeknds music who is far from a saint context wise

    Me neither lol

It clearly seems she is going to be some "temptress" like figure so people mad about it just need to get the f*** over it lol

Doesn't seem like Abel is including her for her musical ability

Imagine if people didn't know much about the US and suddenly Sexyy Redd became the country's "representation" globally

Anitta's whole image is extremely embarrassing for Brazilians and she knows exactly what she's doing. Everything she does for the international market is clearly focused on selling s***tourism and other grotesque things. This is something commonly discussed in Brazil about her. She always doing this s***, SĂŁo Paulo being the lastest example. She's singing about a "very young boy" f***ing her p****.

Brazilians are very self conscious about how the country is perceived globally

And the language is really a problem. Brazil has very rich music scene. Anitta makes generic reggaeton in Spanish for the Spanish-speaking market and these songs are not popular in Brazil at all
