Repeat After Me is getting skipped every single time

It's too short to skip. It's not much especially for tame x weeknd but it's good

Prediction update: The rollout so far is setting up a major twist.

Before, I’ve stated how I think this rollout feels off, like what we’re getting is an intentional misdirection.

Upon reflection, I’m convinced Abel is setting up a twist. I’m almost sure DITF and Timeless are him acting out a meme of The Weeknd (in this case I mean ironic facsimile that is intentionally hollow, like a mask that everyone knows is a mask).

In the DITF mv, and in the song, the visuals and production seem intentionally tacky and artificial, like he’s been in purgatory so long that he’s in this bizarre loop of insanity, a la Jack sparrow in Davy jones locker in the POTC film At Worlds End.

In timeless, he portrays his past self channeling a powerful demon. He is using darkness as artifice to fill the inner void- while turning his back to the light. The symbolism from the trilogy era is quite on the nose here.

In addition, we’ve seen strange, cryptic posts that are far more in line with the original themes of the rollout in the teasers. These sources, like riddlemethisriddlemethat on YouTube & u/notabelxo on this sub, are long suspected to be insiders or Abel himself. We don’t really know who is behind these accounts, but the posts hint at a major twist to come, or that what we’re seeing now is a misdirection.

This could range from a sort of “The Weeknd multiverse” concept album, all the way to a 4th-wall breaking act of performance art that goes across genre and medium lines between the album and the film.

I would advise everyone here to hold off on comments about being disappointed by the rollout- Abel is DEFINITELY up to something.

Do you guys really think he’d present this whole trilogy, the conclusion of The Weeknd, as a rebirth and transfiguration of the self, with the thematic and conceptual depth/ genre-bending musical excellence- and then just end it with a flat, thematically bankrupt commercial album? I have far more faith in Abel and his track record than that.

This is PhD level Memery. I like it

Maybe waiting until the spring/early summer time would’ve worked…but man imagine if Dawn was a commercial giant later that year and we were just beginning the teasing of this era

It is what it is though, it’ll be given its well deserved praises in due time

Dawn was a giant album to me regardless of how others viewed it.

    I’m trying to tell yall

DITF is him in a Purgatory version of Vegas/the desert similar to the one in UIBO and that ambulance which isn’t a good thing, is gonna take him to either Vegas again, or back to LA. But based on what riddler is teasing, he’s going back to Vegas and we will see what happens from there.

But it’s definitely going to be more than just the videos and the film will be involved and such.

It’s a loop, and when the “angels” are leaving the gate we enter into them and Abel comes running out of “heaven” and trying to escape hell. Banging on the glass, pleading.

It doesn’t really go anywhere and it sticks out like a sore thumb between the 80s pop tracks and the two dark songs the album ends with

I think it works great as an interlude to bridge those two sections sonically and lyrically

Otherwise jump from SYT to title track is too jarring
