The Weeknd is a globally recognized artist who brings in probably hundreds of millions of dollars a year with a machine behind him. You are deluded if you think some of these decisions are not being made with commercial appeal in mind.

I trust in Able. He’s never had a truly bad album, and the past two have been spectacular.
I honestly really really like Timeless too, and DITF is good when I do spin in (although I don’t often).
The only question is how the story will work, but if we’re being honest, After Hours and Dawn were kinda loose in their storytelling, so if this one is like that too, it can still work perfectly.
Don’t get me wrong, you could definitely follow the story on the past two, but it wasn’t like every song was super obviously connected to the last one. There was still room for interpretation.
