i better not see starboy haters enjoying this album

Starboy had too much filler but at least it holds up to this day. This album will at least thematically hold up (hopefully) just have to see how Timeless fits in and same with SĂŁo Paulo, but yeah this is just a weird ass roll out singles wise.

Yeah it’ll probably be better in studio with a full complete version, but these singles are a hot f***ing mess. Should have been São Paulo as the second single instead of anything, this s*** is just, tragic would be a fairly appropriate word.

The second single of Starboy was False Alarm.

I think São Paolo would’ve made sense as a second single too, but Timeless works as well, it honestly might work even better if they’re tryna secure a US hit

    and why was it TMBTLA

I was most excited by The Crowd, tbh

If somebody played you Six Feet Under, Rockin’, and True Colors before Starboy released, you’d think there’s no way those three songs were on the same album. Trust the process

The only thing with Timeless and its premiere was the lack of lyrics from Abel and him just ad libbing and mumbling over it, I know lyrically it’ll make more sense once it’s released. But based just off the live debut? It has half a leg to stand on and Pharrell isn’t saving it alone. That XOOOOOOOOOO better be on it too.

Why has this become a strange cope for so many mainstream albums recently. Ever since K-pop on Utopia I see people always saying this about a single before an album drops

Even us disagreeing proves that the videos weren’t as 100% tight and connected as some make it out to be

I’m not tripping over one or a few Hurry Up Tomorrow videos not connecting to an overarching story

lmfao people dont wanna admit but aside from the red suit and an overall “narrative”, a lot of the videos didnt connect like that.

especially funny about the music part too like we dont have stuff like heartless, best friends, and IHYM.

this whole thing boils down to carti being the feature lmfaooo

doubting Abel and the direction after everything we’ve seen since 2019 sounds like a you issue 🤷‍♂️
if this was BBTM/SB era I get it but he has delivered 3 incredible projects back to back
