Song is not hitting at all besides the chorus but I also didn’t like Take My Breath when it dropped and now I love it

okay. i love this song. i prefer this to the live version. the synth work is actually way more catchy and interesting than i thought it would be. his vocal delivery and the mix are insanely good. the vocoder is amazing and makes me smile. i’m so glad he is SINGING again on his records, he has had a bad habit of oversimplifying his recordings which makes his life performances sm better, but this one is different. the vocal performance here is much better to me than the live one.

i honestly thought this song was meh and sounded too flat and poppy when i first heard this live. it grew on me over the last week, but this record smacked any doubts out of me.

the video totally sucked other than the concept of the last 30 seconds lol, but i am keeping my hopes up that there could be a reason for this in the long run… abel’s videos make far more sense together than apart and are not even chronological usually.

but ya. the song f***ing smacks. it’s crazy to hear abel make such a simple pop song, but he does it so well and it still sounds like him.
