some interesting pieces i haven't put together yet… everything fades to black could be a reference to the common film transition, but what makes it interesting is that he sings “i’m all alone when it fades to black” and that specifically never happens in any of the teasers, it either fades to white or he is held by his mom. another interesting thing i thought about was the lyrics to the song at the end of the most recent teaser (run away) could pretty easily be about obsessive fans too (misery tie in) and that made me think about how he’s been running from himself but also the hooded group of girls and it made me wonder if they kind of represent jenna ortega’s character.

Edit: That idea about the hooded cult being representative of obsessive fans and being tied to jenna's character just made another piece click. In this version of misery jenna would be forcing him to sing or make music that she wants...which fits so well with the sacrifice music video as a whole, but especially with tying him to that board and the scene of locking his hands onto the microphone and making him sing. He's had this all planned out for so long wth.

Dawn is already dark as I see it as a lonely album. Just Abel caught in constant self reflection until he is ready for the afterlife
