He bit way more than he can chew,plain and simple.

He unfortunately dropped a single in the middle of the Donda/CLB chaos and centered a roll-out around the same single right when he started pre-production on the HBO show.(This includes making music specifically for the show,scouting locations,casting,working on details etc)

Couple this with moving(which is a pretty big thing),other big artists starting their roll-outs(Adele being the biggest factor here),and TMB under preforming because of his and his teams/labels incompetence to promo their new single and remove the other two charting songs.

Album didn't change at all,hes probably adding new pieces around it that he was gonna add either way,whether that be production or features.

If this godforsaken website can stop with the negative nancy energy,that would be great,because honestly its a chore to come on here daily to see the same posts.

I agree about him doing features being unnecessary,and After Hours is still selling well and it's a very relevant album,but god damn the way y'all suck out the energy on here is astonishing.

Anyways,I think I'm out of here!

Yesterday he announced that the album is complete, however, one idea was hanging around in my head, and that is, Abel had the intention of doing weekly Memento Mori before the album's release, from August until the supposed release, that I would not believe that it was after October.

Thus, when announcing yesterday that the album was finished, he also announced that "key characters" were missing for the album narrative, which does not convince me considering that we are in October and they are still "missing", coupled with the pause from August to now of the promised weekly episode of Memento Mori.

I would think that this idea of ​​having "key characters" is new, and may be promoted by the label after Take My Breath did not have the expected commercial success, and that really disgusts me because according to one of the MM episodes in August, the album was already nearing completion that month, meaning this is a later decision that can affect the entire body of work.

In addition to this decision and perhaps other factors (Adele), the album is delayed. I prefer a thousand times that the album remains as it is that forced collaborations with artists who are not at the level of the work presented are added.

The overexposure that Abel has been doing in the last few months, in my opinion, is not good for the album either, and the overcollaboration, unless it is really necessary, I consider that it should be diminished or ended.

The album was going to be delayed regardless of TMB's performance. An Adele release is a full-stop and imo that's really the only reason why they're delaying this rollout. Him saying that he needed to add more "characters" or whatever is most literally an excuse.
