that album never made it past the writing process and some first step instrumentals. he said he immediately scrapped it
source?
God I hope so
on KTT1 around the time of KOTF, I worked out a little code that he had featured pretty prominently on his artwork for the era, he had it removed a few days later lmao
source?
nah he’s wrong i just read it..
he set it aside cos it was too emotionally detrimental
i think he probably finished it but didn’t get to mixing
Abel ily you the goat
Dawn a 9/10 but After Hours holds a place in me cos of the pandemic
Truly that song started an era of my life where I needed it most. I dont know if my life will get dark enough to fully need Dawn FM yet but if it does then appreciate it but I aint trying to
I guess yes the love lyrics and heartbreak again extremely relatable to an audience going through it because being single been harder than the pandemic in some ways in a society that lacks touch
but on songs this dark does it feel at times like it would connect if it wasnt all heartbreak? Possibly its similiar to what many felt about Lana during her eras of Born to Die, Honeymoon and even to this day of what is to you more than heartbreak.

yeah that's what i mean, there's nothing indicating of how far did it go in development

Lets have it this way
After Hours directly represented the start of the pandemic
It was dark. Nasty. Gritty. Claustrophobic
DawnFM represents the light, but reiterates the darkness. It’s just hidden.
Similar to the way some people are still locked up in a pandemic. It shows there will always be light, even when you don’t expect it
I know the the lyrics are not denying that
But I think the scrapped album was gonna sound moody too but listening back to it it f***ed with him
so he made it sound bright while still saying what he needed to and it still sounds f***ing amaizng
Imo this doesnt sound bright at all. Its just uptempo. the synths and sounds are gritty, sad, weird. Like sacrifice. That s*** is some low-down dirty s***. eerie vibe to that track, that distorted riff and that crazy rhytm just takes it there. How do i make you love me, that song is weird as hell. His ghostly falsetto man its some dance party in hell type music
Mans couldve had paul mccartney lyrics on this and i would still call it dark. Its just not slow

Elaborate on this
some of you forget how f***ing weird lots of trilogy was
I don't need trilogy vibes, I just need weird
he is the king of weird

I guess we interpret the words dark and bright differently
and that’s okay
Lowkey wish he just posted the Hov lyric and called it a day lmao
i'm sooo tired of that discourse and he really just added more wood to the fire. lol it's his social media and his feelings and he can do whatever he wants but i feel like that could've been addressed in a couple simple sentences in an interview or something.

F*** em
Meet them where they’re at (compulsively on twitter) and tell them to eat a d***

Honestly couldn’t believe a significant portion of the fan discourse surrounding this album is still focused on Trilogy lol

BUT WHAT COMES NEXT GONNA HAVE ME LIKE
He’s very right in being pissed off
Imagine people wanting you to be at your lowest point just because you create something that is to their taste

yeah thats fine just taking part of a discourse
elaborate on what “dark” means to you, i am interested
