I keep saying it but his career is really mirroring bowies to the T. High sales, critic acclaim, still had tons of bozos wanting his old s*** yet david still did what he wanted no matter what the sales and critics said. I love it

plus he's pandered to them plenty since he went pop, MDM and like half of after hours are basically trilogy with a more sleek and modern production style. realistically he's been long overdue to make a pure pop masterpiece without having to find a middle ground between his old and new music. i'm glad he finally did it, as much as i love his darker music dawn FM is what i've been waiting for since starboy.
