Not surprised, hip-hop fans generally haven’t been exposed to electronic/synth pop so this sound wouldn’t really resonate with them initially if this is their first time exposed to it.
nah the album is just mid, after hours had the same dna as this album and that was overwhelmingly praised amongst the hip hop community, don’t think it’s fair to look down on people and box them as “not being exposed” just because they don’t like it
