Lot of artists try to go pop after they get a buzz off mixtapes, most fail miserably their first time and fade into obscurity. He proved he could dip into that bag effortlessly on songs like can’t feel my face and the hills without compromising his sound
Especially true for The Hills. I feel like that song is the quintessential Weeknd song. Not only because it's popular, but because it's a perfect blend between his dark, moody sound and a pop song that is accessible to the general public. I love that song so much
