SalarymanI love Abel and I’ve loved every single one of his projects so far aside from a few individual songs but I absolutely refuse to be a yes man. This album was a f***ing miss and I don’t need to replay through it to know how I feel about it. Sure some songs can grow on me but my initial reception is definitely not good. If you enjoy the album I’m happy for you but it’s not for me.
Edit: I don’t even mean how it doesn’t sound like anything he’s done before idrc if an artist does new stuff but I genuinely only liked like 5 or 6 songs out of the entire album and that’s very disappointing for me.

I don’t think it’s bad and I know it’ll grow on me, but that was easily the worst first listen experience I’ve had with any of The Weeknd’s albums. The songs were hard to distinguish and it felt like they all sounded the same. Felt like I just listened to one 50 minute song. Like I said, I’m sure it’ll grow on me but I honestly think this might be my least favorite album from him
